Hyderabad

So, in case you missed it, Hyderabad's real estate drama just got a fresh plot twist. The Income Tax department raided the DSR Group in what looks like a massive tax evasion case. We’re talking 25+ locations across Hyderabad and Bengaluru, including Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, and a few of DSR's project offices.
Why does it matter? Because apparently, projects like DSR SkyOne and DSR’s World were selling units at ₹12-13K/sqft market rate but registering them at just ₹7K/sqft. The rest is allegedly paid in cash, off the books.
Reports say over ₹7 crore in unaccounted cash was seized from just one landowner tied to DSR. And IT sleuths have their hands on agreements, account books, and hard drives some of which reportedly show benami transactions involving builder associates.
Oh, and there’s a link being looked into with Srinivasa Constructions and even the Andhra liquor scam. They also had a raid recently: https://youtu.be/SntrKcdTPtI?si=5fc5yrXOU-YazZ74
As someone living in the general vicinity and watching prices skyrocket with little logic, this just confirms what many suspected. Builders underreporting, politicians laundering, and buyers caught in the middle.
What I’m wondering is:
• How widespread is this 7K registered vs 13K market scam?
• What happens to resale values or legality of such flats if things go south?
• And does this finally put a spotlight on how broken the registration + tax reporting system is?
Or will this all quietly disappear once the headlines move on?
Would love to hear from anyone who bought in DSR projects recently, did you face any under-the-table "adjustments"?
Also a little clarity on what is going on with SSI
