Coforge is inaugurating a 15,660 sq ft, free‑access public library :

Just saw the news that Coforge is inaugurating a 15,660 sq ft, free‑access public library at Kothaguda Junction (near Kondapur / Kothaguda area) on October 7 in Hyderabad.

They’re bringing in over 15,000 books, open daily 9 AM to 8 PM (including weekends & holidays) and it’s their third such library in India (after Noida and Gurugram).

I don’t know about you, but super excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. For years, I’ve dreamt of a place in Hyderabad where one can just walk in, grab a book, chill, read, work, or just be among people who love books and not have to worry about membership or big subscription costs. This could become that.

If anyone else is planning to visit soon and is open to creating some reading groups for discussions, please let me know

This could really uplift the area. More foot traffic, more people reading, more quiet corners in the city. I’ll stop by the inaugural day and see how the crowd is.

This sounds great, but I worry about “public library” declarations not matching the reality. Sometimes these places are beautiful on day one and then degrade due to lack of upkeep. I’ll reserve full praise until I see it in person

Same is true for every other infra, the promotions are always better than reality, but truly appreciate the effort and hope this happens in more areas specially financial district where young crowd is present we need such exposure
